Empowering Widows in Melong: GAP Provides Financial and Food Assistance

On 7th of February 2025, Global Action Program (GAP) successfully carried out a humanitarian outreach in Melong, providing financial support and food supplies to over 30 widows. This initiative aligns with GAP’s commitment to uplifting marginalized communities and fostering economic resilience.

Objectives of the Outreach

This initiative was designed to:

✅ Provide immediate relief to widows facing economic hardship.
✅ Enhance food security by distributing essential food items.
✅ Strengthen community support for sustainable well-being.
✅ Promote social inclusion by ensuring widows are not left behind.

Key Activities & Highlights

During the outreach, GAP engaged with the beneficiaries through:

📌 Financial Assistance: Direct cash support was provided to over 30 widows to help cover basic needs.

📌 Food Distribution: Beneficiaries received essential food supplies, including rice, cooking oil, and other staples.

📌 Community Engagement: GAP volunteers interacted with the widows, listening to their concerns and assessing future needs.
